Just down the road in nearby Bloomington, visit the 1,860 acre campus of Indiana University, rated one of the nation's five most beautiful campuses in The Campus as a Work of Art. The university is also home to the Indiana Hoosiers and five NCAA basketball championships. Although Bobby Knight is no longer associated with the team and now coaches for Texas Tech, Indiana Big Ten basketball is still worth checking out. Located just east of Nashville, the town of Columbus is renowned world-wide for its dedication to modern architecture and ranked sixth amongst cities in the U.S. for architectural quality and innovation by the American Institute of Architects. The Columbus Architecture Tour provided by the Visitors Center was recently selected as a 2003 Rand McNally Best of the Road award winner making Columbus a top road stop in the 2003 Rand McNally Road Atlas. For the golf enthusiast, Columbus also claims the boasting rights of being home to Otter Creek Golf Course which has consistently ranked among the top 25 public courses in the U.S.
